A discussion with Mr.Maged Mosley the Egyptian Ambassador to Sri Lanka  was held at the Ministry of Buddhasasana Religious and Cultural Affairs

A discussion with Mr.Maged Mosley the Egyptian Ambassador to Sri Lanka  was held today (2022.09.12) at the Ministry of Buddhasasana Religious and Cultural Affairs with the Minister of Buddhasasana Religious and Cultural Affairs, the Secretary of the Ministry and the Director of the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs.

The minister expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian ambassador for the long-term friendship between the two countries and the contribution he has made for tourism over the decades.
The Ambassador was informed about the facilities and program of scholarships offered by the Egyptian government to Sri Lankan students through Al Azhar University in Cairo and the Ambassador expressed his desire to continue those facilities under the existing cultural agreement.

The Honorable Minister accepted the invitation of the Government of Egypt to participate in the International Conference on “Fatwas and Sustainable Development Goals” to be held in Egypt from 17 to 18 October 2022. The two also exchanged souvenirs.

For this occasion, the Secretary of the Ministry of Buddhism, Religious and Cultural Affairs  Mr.Somaratne Vidanapathirana, the Director of the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Ansar, and the Minister Mr. Vidura Wickramanayake were present.
