Annual discussion of Ancient Shrine Revival Circle in Anuradhapura!
March 12th, 2024The annual meeting of the Ancient Shrine Revival Circle was held today (12) at Vihara Halmillakulam Sri Sugathamaha Vihara in Anuradhapura under the precedence of Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
The progress of last year of the Ancient Shrines Revival Circle as well as the activities and development functions expected to be carried out in the next year were discussed here.
The minister informed the officials to make necessary arrangements for the expeditious gazetting of the sacred areas belonging to the regions with problems and to establish a fund for the Ancient Shrines Revival Circle.
Ven. Maha Sangha, Archaeological Officers, Mr. R.M. P. Senarathna, Divisional Secretary of Nuwaragam Palatha Central, officers of the revival circle, Mr. M.K. Senavirathna, District Buddhist Affairs Coordinator , ministry officials and others joined for this event.
