Digitalize of the historical city of Anuradhapura…

A Memorandum of Understanding was submitted to the Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs at the Cultural Ministry today (15) by H.E. Jean Francois Pactet, the Ambassador of France, to map and digitalize the city for promoting the attractiveness of the Anuradhapura city

Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs mentioned that it is important to digitalize and map Anuradhapura city as well as other historical cities and that a cabinet paper will be forwarded in this regard in the future.

Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs mentioned that it would be great if further advice and training opportunities could be given to Sri Lanka regarding conservation methods and technical knowledge. The French ambassador and the delegation mentioned that actions will be taken to provide opportunities to Sri Lankan officers for annual training programs in the future

The delegation of the French Ambassador, Mrs. K.A.D.R. Nishanthi Jayasinghe, Additional Secretary of the National Heritage Division, Mr. Thilak Hettiarachchi, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs and a group of ministry officials attended for this event.
