November 22nd, 2023The Tower Hall Theatre Foundation is awarding scholarships of Rs.50,000/- each to students who have won the commemorative medals at the diploma awarding ceremony of the two-year full-time Drama and Theatre arts higher diploma course in the academic year 2020/21 at the main office of Tower Hall Theatre Foundation today (22).
The scholarships of 50,000/- were awarded for studying B. Ed. in Drama and Theatre Arts degree at the Open University under the precedence of Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs
The minister awarded scholarships to the five students namely Sithum Vihara, who won the Don Bastian Jayaweera Bandara Memorial Medal, Geethani Bhagya Amarasinghe, who won the Advocate John De Silva Memorial Medal, Dulanjali Pavithra De Silva, who won the Advocate Charles Dias Memorial Medal, Chamodi Jayanandima Sachini Premarathne, who won the Prof. Ediriweera Sarachchandra Memorial Medal and Natasha Gayathri, who won the medal for the best student of the academic year 2020/21
Mrs. K.A.D.R. Nishanthi Jayasinghe, Additional Secretary (Development) of National Heritage Division of the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Dr. D.M.S. Dissanayake, Director General of Tower Hall Theatre Foundation and a group of officials participated in this event.
