Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister of Thailand attended the 76th National Independence Day celebration today (04) as the chief guest.
The historical friendship based on Theravada Buddhist relations and cultural relations was also discussed at length during the official meeting held between two countries.
The understanding, free trade bilateral aviation service agreements were signed between the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Research and Training Institute and Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand as covering various areas such as commodity trade, investment, customs procedures and intellectual property rights and new foreign policy of Sri Lanka for expanding ties with Southeast Asia and establishing stronger economic integration in the region
