March 2nd, 2024The second day of the International Bhagavad Gita Festival was vividly held today (02) with the participation of many Indian distinguished guests at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre premises.
Bhagwat Gita festival is held annually by the Kurukshetra Development Board of Haryana, India to pay homage to Sri Bhagavad Gita and the series of religious events related to the Bhagavad Gita, the holy book of Hindus.
This time it was held magnificently in Sri Lanka by the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
A group of Indo-Sri Lankan distinguished guests including Geeta Manish Swami Gayananad Ji, Swami Guru Sharananad Ji Maharaj, Mr. Santosh Jha, Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Dr. Vishali Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Kurukshetra Development Board, Mr. Vikas Gupta, Secretary of Kurukshetra Development Board, Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Prof. Asanga Thilakaratne, Mr. Somarathna Vidanapathirana, Secretary to the ministry, additional secretaries, department directors, officials of institutions affiliated to the ministry participated in this event
