May 20th, 2024A discussion between H.E. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Ambassador of Thailand and Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs was held today (20) at the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
It was discussed regarding the temporary ordination given to public officials by government of the Thailand and minister mentioned that the many public officials have already expressed their consent for it.
Also, matters such as establishing relations between the two countries regarding Buddhism, exchanging cultural differences, protecting culture, investigating cultural relations, etc., were discussed at length.
Also, Mr. Vidura Wickramanayake suggested that the culture existing in the two countries should be given to the citizens of both countries and that promoting it should be strengthened
