‘Buddhasasana Council’ gathers
February 10th, 2026The third meeting of the Buddhasasana Council established under the leadership of Maha Sangha of three sects was held at the afternoon (10) in the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, and presided over by Dr. Ven. Pahamune Sumangala Nayaka Thero, Chief Registrar of the Malwathu party of Maha Viharawanshika Syamopali Maha Nikaya with precedence of Hon. Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs and Hon. Gamagedara Dissanayake, Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
